Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in travel counseling or related customer service role
- Proficiency with Sabre GDS system
- Knowledge of international and domestic travel regulations and policies
- Ability to work flexible shifts including afternoons, weekends and potential night shifts
- Strong communication skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
- Capability to handle confidential traveler information with integrity
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment
- Commitment to providing excellent client service
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- Passion for excellence in client service including proactive anticipation of needs
- Expertise in native GDS system Sabre
- Keen international travel knowledge
- Experience with phone and email customer service
- Strong professional communication skills both written and verbal
- Excellent attention to detail
- Integrity in handling personal traveler information
- Strong understanding of the travel industry including business travel, leisure travel, or airline reservation background
- Ability to resolve customer issues quickly and independently including working with suppliers
- Teamwork skills and openness to feedback
Job Duties
- Advise and arrange travel for corporate business customers including individuals and groups
- Conduct analysis and research on travel options and proactively anticipate traveler needs to sell additional services
- Arrange and book domestic and international business travel including air, road, rail, and accommodations
- Use knowledge of GDS systems, specifically Sabre, for travel bookings
- Ensure compliance with customers’ travel policies, service provider policies, and regulatory requirements
- Use positive telephone service techniques and respond to special customer requests
- Collaborate within the team to coach, mentor and provide constructive feedback to improve service levels
