Job Requirements
- High school diploma required, college degree preferred
- ability to pass criminal background check
- successful completion of urine drug screening
- minimum 2 years successful retail sales, banking, or leisure travel agency experience in goal-oriented environment
Job Qualifications
- Travel is a passion not just a hobby
- availability to work most Saturdays and some evenings
- successful completion of Travel Consultant Trainee program including travel for training
- driven by sales and goal achievement
- computer savvy with ability to navigate multiple systems, web browsers, Microsoft Office
- typing speed of at least 30 words per minute
- strong organizational skills and comfort with paperwork
Job Duties
- Sell international and domestic travel packages including cruises, land packages, travel itineraries, air, car, and hotel
- share knowledge and expertise from personal experiences and education study trips
- develop long-standing relationships with members and build referral and repeat business
- make appropriate recommendations to tailor trips to member expectations
- cross-sell relevant products to enhance travel experiences such as AAA Member Rewards Credit Card and identity theft referrals
- participate in sales, administrative, and operational evaluations to support career growth
- attend training and study trips to enhance professional development
