Job Requirements

  • A high school diploma required, preferably a 2 or 4 year college degree
  • ability to pass comprehensive criminal background check and urine drug screening
  • at least 2 years of successful retail sales or banking experience or leisure travel agency background in a goal-oriented environment preferred
  • bilingual in English and Hindi preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Travel is a passion, not just a hobby
  • available to work most Saturdays and some evenings
  • successful completion of the Travel Consultant Trainee program including travel for training
  • driven by sales and exceeding goals
  • computer savvy with ability to navigate multiple systems and browsers, proficient in Microsoft Office, and type at least 30 words per minute
  • strong organizational skills and comfortable with paperwork

Job Duties

  • Sell international and domestic travel packages including cruises, land packages, travel itineraries, air, car, and hotel
  • share knowledge and expertise from personal experiences and education study trips
  • develop longstanding relationships with members and build referral and repeat business
  • make appropriate recommendations to ensure the trip experience exceeds expectations and is tailored to member needs
  • cross sell relevant products to enhance the trip experience such as AAA Member Rewards Credit Card and identity theft referrals
  • participate in evaluations to demonstrate proficiencies in sales, customer service, administrative tasks, operations, upselling, cross-selling, and meeting goals
  • complete extensive training through The Auto Club University
  • engage in regular recognition programs and incentives
  • utilize company-sponsored IATAN cards for travel discounts
  • take advantage of personal travel opportunities at discounted pricing
  • leverage corporate benefits for insurance products
  • attend paid educational study trips to promote career development
  • achieve quarterly incentives and bonuses based on production tiers
