The COMET is a public transportation system dedicated to providing accessible, reliable, and efficient transit services to communities, including persons with disabilities, older adults, and the general public. Job Requirements
- Ability to ride The COMET's fixed route and/or DART services
- Ability to deliver effective training on how to use public transportation
- Ability to serve as a positive representative of Able SC and The COMET
- Ability to communicate
- Ability to work cooperatively with others
- Ability to handle and maintain confidential information
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to record outings
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of Able SC and The COMET
- Experience using fixed-route or ADA Paratransit services
- Experience in teaching, training, or assistant teaching
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to conduct group presentations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- Educate persons with disabilities, older adults, and the general public on the use of public transportation
- Assist in group training sessions and demonstrations
- Deliver effective travel training on The COMET and Able SC services
- Serve as a positive representative of The COMET and Able SC
- Communicate clearly and effectively with diverse audiences
- Work cooperatively with colleagues and community members
- Maintain confidentiality and accurate records of outings
