Job Requirements

  • Three years emergency department nursing experience in a Level I or II Trauma Center
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to interact with a diverse population
  • Strong teamwork and collaborative skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills
  • Understanding of Incident Command System and Critical Incident Debriefing
  • Registered Nurse in the State of Oregon
  • Current Oregon RN license
  • Trauma Certified Registered Nurse (TCRN)
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
  • AHA ACLS, PALS & BLS certifications

Job Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse in the State of Oregon
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Current Oregon RN license
  • Trauma Certified Registered Nurse (TCRN)
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
  • AHA ACLS, PALS & BLS certifications
  • Knowledge of trauma registry and data abstraction
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Experience with trauma quality improvement processes

Job Duties

  • Serve as trauma program representative and primary contact for the trauma registry
  • Perform chart reviews and participate in trauma team performance evaluations
  • Collaborate with hospital departments to ensure process improvement and loop closure
  • Compile and distribute accurate reports for clinical quality measurement
  • Coordinate and verify clinical data to support trauma quality initiatives
  • Prepare and submit trauma data to state and national registries
  • Participate in relevant boards, committees, and meetings to support ongoing trauma program development
