Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or nursing diploma
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arkansas or compact state
- Minimum four years of nursing experience
- Must not be current user of medical marijuana
- Mandatory flu vaccine
- Must be able to work part-time
- Ability to remain current with trauma patient research and systems
- Commitment to collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Must be willing to participate in trauma performance improvement processes

Job Duties
- Remain current in research related to trauma patient populations and trauma systems
- Provide clinical expertise and collaborate with physicians, nurses, pre-hospital providers, specialty services, ancillary services, administration, and agencies within the trauma service area
- Predict, monitor and evaluate patient outcomes for continuity in intervention over time and through systems
- Facilitate effective implementation of the Trauma Performance Improvement Patient Safety (TPIPS) and Trauma Peer Review process
- Provide feedback to and request data from EMS and referring hospitals regarding patient care and trauma system issues
- Check daily census to identify potential trauma patients and notify appropriate departments
- Organize and enter injury data into the trauma registry database (NTRACS) regarding patients injury events and outcomes
- Abstract appropriate data elements for trauma patients, ensuring compliance with Arkansas Department of Health and National Trauma Data Set
- Perform ongoing quality assurance and data validation assessments
- Generate reports providing data and statistical information to burn, trauma and injury prevention departments
- Perform other duties as assigned
