Job Duties
- Provide drivers with updated instructions, addresses, and appointment times
- track ETAs, delays, breakdowns, and HOS considerations
- help drivers resolve road issues quickly and professionally
- confirm pickup and delivery appointments
- track loads and provide real-time updates to brokers and shippers
- verify BOLs and PODs to ensure freight matches the bill
- estimate realistic load and unload times
- prevent overscheduling and tight appointment windows
- upload all paperwork into the TMS
- track detention, layover, and TONU opportunities
- keep clean and accurate load notes
- send check calls and status updates
- notify brokers of changes or delays
- maintain positive and professional relationships with shippers and brokers
