Job Duties

  • Provide drivers with updated instructions, addresses, and appointment times
  • Track ETAs, delays, breakdowns, and hours-of-service considerations
  • Help drivers resolve road issues quickly and professionally
  • Confirm pickup and delivery appointments
  • Track loads and provide real-time updates to brokers and shippers
  • Verify bills of lading and proof of delivery ensuring freight matches the bill
  • Estimate realistic load and unload times
  • Prevent overscheduling and tight appointment windows
  • Upload all paperwork into the transportation management system
  • Track detention, layover, and truck order not used opportunities
  • Keep clean and accurate load notes
  • Send check calls and status updates
  • Notify brokers of changes or delays
  • Maintain positive and professional relationships with shippers and brokers
