Job Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of transportation leadership experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in transportation, logistics, operations management, or related field preferred
  • PANYNJ ID required
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Experience with transportation and ramp safety operations and DOT compliance
  • Strong planning, organizational, and decision-making skills
  • Knowledge of transportation operations and safety protocols in high-security environments preferred
  • Hands-on leadership style
  • Ability to coach and motivate teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office
  • Flexible to work various shifts

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of transportation leadership experience preferably in food manufacturing or airport-related logistics
  • Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field preferred
  • Required to acquire a PANYNJ ID in accordance with United States Customs and TSA regulations
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Experience with transportation and ramp safety operations and DOT compliance
  • Strong planning, organizational, and decision-making skills
  • Knowledge of transportation operations and safety protocols in high-security environments airport or port settings preferred
  • Hands-on leadership style willing to be present in the field to ensure successful dispatch and delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and motivate diverse teams with professionalism and tact
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Experience with dispatching or fleet software a plus
  • Flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Oversee daily operations across multiple departments including transportation, logistics, dispatch, and general operations
  • Plan, forecast, and schedule transportation activities
  • Coordinate dispatching operations to ensure on-time deliveries and support flight schedules
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with relevant departments to meet organizational standards for delivery schedules and flight service quality
  • Ensure full compliance with transportation regulations including traffic laws, weight limits, and hours-of-service rules
  • Supervise, train, and mentor a large team of drivers and driver helpers
  • Develop and implement training programs/manuals for safe vehicle operation and ramp safety protocols
