Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or similar
  • Licensed professional engineer in Alaska
  • Minimum 10 years of technical design experience
  • At least 5 years of supervisory experience
  • Experience in design/build or alternative project delivery preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead diverse teams
  • Established and willing to build client relationships
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Blue Beam
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil 3D and GIS a plus

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in civil engineering or similar
  • Licensed professional engineer in Alaska
  • Over 10 years of technical design experience in civil projects
  • More than 5 years of supervisory experience leading technical teams
  • Experience with design/build or alternative project delivery methods is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Established client relationships and business development experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat and Blue Beam
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD/Civil 3D and GIS applications is a plus

Job Duties

  • Develop and maintain scope, schedule and budgets for civil projects
  • Directly oversee project delivery from design development to bid-ready plans and construction support
  • Serve as lead civil engineer on design projects including calculations, modeling and design decisions
  • Ensure quality control processes are followed
  • Lead multi-discipline project teams and provide staff training and mentorship
  • Assist in business development including identifying new opportunities, proposal production and client relationship management
