Job Requirements
- Current State of Connecticut Department of Transportation employee for at least six months
- meet minimum qualifications at job closing date
- specify qualifications on application
- five years of experience coordinating highway maintenance or related activities or college training in civil engineering or related field substituting experience
- valid Motor Vehicle Operator's license may be required
- ability to travel
- experience as Transportation District Electrical Supervisor, Transportation Engineer, Transportation General Supervisor, Transportation Supervisor, Transportation Maintainer, or related positions substituting experience

Job Qualifications
- Five years of experience coordinating highway maintenance or related activities
- knowledge of highway maintenance and construction methods and materials
- knowledge of principles and practices of determining maintenance needs and preparing maintenance programs
- knowledge of engineering principles and practices
- interpersonal skills
- oral and written communication skills
- ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- ability to understand and apply relevant statutes and policies pertaining to highway maintenance
- ability to utilize computer software
- supervisory ability
- experience with office management and recordkeeping
- experience managing meetings and appointments using Microsoft Outlook and Teams
- experience processing confidential and time-sensitive records
- proficiency with Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, OneDrive, and Outlook
- experience managing and reconciling budgets and receipts
- experience determining competitive vendors for milling and paving projects
- experience conducting field inspections for maintenance projects
Job Duties
- Manage assets
- Schedule and review bridge maintenance and rehabilitation projects
- Review contracts, proposals, specifications for materials, equipment, and contractual services
- Prepare progress/status reports and purchase order contracts
- Conduct field reviews of all CTDOT approved guiderail systems
- Control/purchase equipment and inventory
- Perform other duties as assigned
