Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- 4-6 years experience as a route driver preferred
- valid driver’s license
- must pass motor vehicle record (MVR) check
- ability to follow directions and read a map
- outstanding customer service skills
- ability to work independently and cooperatively
- exceptional problem solving and decision making skills
- ability and motivation to cross train in Hospital Services

Job Duties
- Execute transportation courier services for blood product deliveries and returns
- perform donor center and mobile blood pick-ups
- conduct supply deliveries and distribution site transfers
- pick up Diagnostic Lab samples and deliver Pharmacy and Donor Testing Lab items
- follow Versiti policies and procedures for handling all transported materials
- ensure safety, purity, potency, and efficacy of products
- communicate fleet maintenance needs and conduct vehicle inspections
- organize non-scheduled STAT deliveries and special requests
- practice defensive driving techniques and complete required driving and safety training
- deliver excellent customer service to meet or exceed customer expectations
- complete all required training and adhere to laboratory safety policies
- maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure no materials remain in vehicles post-shift
- uphold appropriate appearance and uniform standards
- complete all necessary paperwork accurately
- demonstrate courtesy to other drivers and consider weather and road conditions
- perform other duties as assigned within job scope
- comply with all regulatory and compliance requirements
- follow all standard operating procedures
