Job Requirements
- Minimum eighth grade education
- Clean driver history with no garnishments or citations
- Ability to report to work regularly and promptly
- Ability to work beyond normal hours when necessary
- Ability to deal tactfully with residents and families
- Ability to handle residents who may be emotionally upset or confused
- Massachusetts Driver's License and CPR certified
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Massachusetts Driver's License
- CPR certification
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
- Ability to handle problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Strong interpersonal skills to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, families, and the public
- Ability to work beyond normal hours when necessary
- Experience working with the older adult population preferred
Job Duties
- Perform job functions in a manner consistent with the mission and goals of Loomis Communities
- Adhere to Loomis Communities Compliance and Ethics Program
- Demonstrate respect and attention to diversity among residents, personnel, families, and stakeholders
- Transport residents on a scheduled basis during days, evenings, and weekends
- Assist residents with entering and exiting the vehicle and with packages
- Coordinate trips with reception and security staff to ensure efficient delivery and pickup
- Maintain logs for mileage, times, and list of transported residents
- Perform safety checks and maintain cleanliness and maintenance of transportation vehicle
- Report any maintenance or safety issues promptly to supervisors
