Job Requirements
- Highly motivated and self-driven
- Ability to work independently to identify and develop sales opportunities in assigned territories
- Experience generating and managing a detailed sales pipeline via CRM
- Knowledge of air, ocean, and ground freight forwarding services
- Strong negotiation, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Capable of managing customer relationships to maintain and develop business
- Effective communication and relationship-building skills with customers and co-workers
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours
- Ability to handle urgent requests efficiently
Job Qualifications
- 3+ years international and domestic logistics and cargo transportation sales experience
- Outside business-to-business sales experience highly preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Established presence in the marketplace preferred
- Proven sales track record in business development
- Willingness to travel as required by customer and corporate needs
- Ability to work some after hours or weekends due to customer demands or seasonality
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Job Duties
- Generate new sales leads through referrals, cold calls, business meetings, emails, and networking
- Manage detailed sales pipeline via CRM from prospect origination to long-term customers
- Identify, anticipate, and respond to customer needs with industry knowledge
- Develop and maintain profitable customer relationships
- Manage a book of business to exceed monthly revenue goals
- Handle urgent customer and management requests in a timely manner
- Create effective proposals and present pricing for customer RFQ requests
