Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience in healthcare or hospital environment preferred
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Positive and pleasant attitude
  • Ability to prioritize daily tasks
  • Ability to multitask under stress
  • Ability to follow instructions in English
  • Completion of biohazard and CPR training within 90 days
  • Compliance with relevant policies and codes of conduct

  • Ability to handle emergency and crisis situations

  • Completion of in-house biohazardous materials and CPR training within 90 days of hire

Job Duties

  • Transport patients using wheelchair, stretcher, hospital bed, and morgue cart to various hospital locations
  • Transfer patients safely using assistive devices such as Hovermatts, Slipps, slider boards and backboards
  • Transport medical equipment, mail, labs, blood products and supplies within hospital departments
  • Operate elevators for patient and equipment movement and relieve elevator attendants for breaks
  • Clean and disinfect transportation medical equipment including stretchers, wheelchairs, morgue carts, HoverMatts, pillows and utility transport carts
  • Complete all duties in compliance with hospital policies and safety standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned
