Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Excellent communication with public and staff
- Strong customer service experience
- Positive and pleasant attitude
- Ability to prioritize daily tasks to maximize efficiency and patient experience
- Ability to multitask and function in stressful situations
- Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions in English
- Complete in-house training for bio hazardous items and CPR within 90 days of hire
- Compliance with code of conduct, respect in the workplace and applicable policies
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation

- Experience in safe transporting of patients, specimens, blood products, equipment and supplies
Job Duties
- Transport patients using wheelchair, stretcher, hospital bed, and morgue cart to various locations including nursing units, diagnostics, pre-op, life flight pad, and morgue
- Transfer patients using transportation-assist devices such as Hovermatts, Slipps, slider boards and backboards
- Transport medical equipment, mail, labs, blood products and supplies between nursing units, diagnostic areas, clinics, exam rooms, operating rooms, laboratories, morgue and offices
- Operate elevators for patient and equipment movement and relieve elevator attendants for breaks
- Clean and disinfect transportation medical equipment including stretchers, wheelchairs, morgue carts, HoverMatts, pillows and utility transport carts
- Perform all duties of Transportation Aide 1
- Carry out other duties as assigned
