Job Requirements

- Excellent communication with public and staff
- Strong customer service experience
- Positive and pleasant attitude
- Ability to prioritize daily tasks to maximize efficiency and patient experience
- Ability to multitask and function in stressful situations
- Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions in English
- Complete in-house training for biohazardous items and CPR within 90 days of hire
- Compliance with Code of Conduct, Respect in the workplace, and applicable policies, procedures and agreements
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation

Job Duties
- Transport patients using wheelchair, stretcher, hospital bed, and morgue cart to and from various locations
- Transfer patients using transportation-assist devices such as Hovermatts, slipps, slider boards and backboards
- Transport medical equipment, mail, labs, blood products and supplies within the OHSU environment
- Operate elevators for patient and equipment movement and relieve elevator attendants for breaks
- Clean and disinfect transportation medical equipment including stretchers, wheelchairs, morgue carts, Hovermatts, pillows and utility transport carts
- Participate in in-house training for biohazardous items and CPR within 90 days of hire
- Perform other duties as assigned
