Job Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national of the U.S. or an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence or authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer
- Experience with airfreight operations, import/export operations and regulatory requirements
- Proven work experience as a dispatch lead or supervisor
- Ability to manage and lead a team effectively
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Flexibility in working hours
- Physical ability to sit and stand for periods and lift less than 50 lbs
Job Qualifications
- Experience with airfreight operations, import/export operations and related regulatory requirements (TSA, US CBP, FDA etc)
- Proven work experience as a dispatch lead or supervisor
- Experience working in a GDP environment
- Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
- Leadership skills and ability to manage staff
- Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and dedication to quality
- Excellent communication skills
Job Duties
- Coordinate collections, deliveries, drop offs and recoveries with other departments, Marken offices, agents and drivers
- Maintain constant communication with Packaging Team to ensure availability of required supplies
- Condition the shipments as required
- Create applicable route legs depending on the service
- Provide proper documentation to agents and Marken drivers for collections, deliveries, drop offs and recoveries
- Track every shipment using the Maestro Wiki report designed for dispatch
- Confirm every recovery is complete by matching information against manifest during reception process
- Ensure agents and Marken drivers update information in the system through the mobile app (XMaestro)
- Provide periodical inspection to vehicles to confirm proper conditions
- Provide expedited dispatch for NFO shipments immediately after collection and alert receiving agents or offices
- Notify any discrepancies to respective departments, agents or Marken offices and update Maestro accordingly
