Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of one year experience in industrial or commercial cleaning
  • ability to operate power cleaning equipment such as pressure washers and floor scrubbers
  • physical ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds, and assist with heavier objects
  • ability to work in varying weather conditions and heights using mechanical lifts
  • availability to work any assigned shift including day, swing, graveyard, weekends, holidays, and callouts
  • valid driver’s license
  • successful completion of respirator fit test
  • willingness to wear required personal protective equipment
  • ability to follow safety protocols

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in industrial or commercial cleaning or custodial work
  • ability to operate cleaning machinery and equipment safely
  • knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and safety procedures
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • physical ability to perform lifting, climbing, and other physical tasks
  • willingness to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • valid driver’s license

Job Duties

  • Contain and clean up fuel and/or oil spills
  • steam clean and/or pressure-wash drains, trenches, and subsurface maintenance areas
  • steam clean and/or pressure-wash restrooms and shop walls up to 40 feet high using lift equipment and fall protection
  • clean and sanitize elevators, lunchrooms, and restrooms including tables, chairs, toilets, showers, sinks, walls, and offices
  • scrub floors made of concrete, tile, vinyl, granite, or marble and spray/buff floors
  • sweep and clear snow/ice, and clean facility perimeters
  • set up, take down, and arrange furniture
  • dust, wash, and vacuum surfaces and clean glass windows
  • clean or remove graffiti from walls, windows, and other surfaces
  • empty trash dumpsters and containers manually or using a forklift
  • request and stock various types of supplies including lunchroom and restroom stock
  • safely operate equipment such as vacuums, buffers, carpet cleaners, floor scrubbers, shop vacs, steam cleaners, pressure washers, and bucket truck
  • ensure proper care and operation of equipment
  • use good judgment and wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • drive county vehicles when necessary
  • respond to sanitization requests as needed
  • perform other duties as assigned
