Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass DOT physical
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License or willingness to obtain CDL with company support
- Strong understanding of local geography and transit routes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
- Demonstrated ability to make quick and safe decisions with minimal supervision
- Positive attitude and team player mindset
Job Duties
- Operate transit buses on assigned routes ensuring passenger safety and timely arrival
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure bus safety and cleanliness
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing excellent customer service
- Adhere to all traffic regulations and company policies to maintain a safe operating environment
- Maintain accurate records of routes, schedules, and passenger counts
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members to address route or schedule changes
- Participate in safety training and ongoing professional development sessions
