The Transfer Driver position is a critical role within the logistics and warehouse operations of a company that operates two primary warehouse locations: Pecan and Montgomery. Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- valid commercial driver’s license (CDL-class A)
- minimum 1 year of experience operating forklifts and commercial vehicles
- ability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
- ability to stand and lift up to 75 lbs regularly
- basic computer and math skills
- strong communication skills
- ability to follow safety protocols
- physical ability to handle bending, stooping, crouching, and reaching
- ability to work in varying environmental conditions
- reliable attendance record

- working knowledge of material handling equipment and commercial vehicles

- ability to use overhead crane to move products and machine parts safely
Job Duties
- perform all job functions in a safe manner
- operate all types of forklifts including stand-up, sit down, and order pickers
- operate yard truck with 53-foot trailers on public roadways
- operate 26-foot box truck as required
- locate materials and supplies in the warehouse using computer systems
- pull raw materials and finished goods with accuracy and efficiency
- load, adjust and operate shrink-wrap and banding machine
- process shipments into operator scan gun system
- load and unload trucks using forklifts and pallet jacks
- transfer finished product from Montgomery warehouse to Pecan warehouse
- transfer raw materials and supplies from Pecan warehouse to Montgomery warehouse
- deliver parts, supplies, and miscellaneous purchases to respective departments
