Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • minimum of two years relevant professional experience
  • strong organizational and time management skills
  • excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office and video conferencing tools
  • ability to work in a hybrid work environment including travel
  • valid driver’s license
  • willingness to travel frequently across Massachusetts
  • ability to work independently and collaboratively

  • experience in event planning or training coordination

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years relevant professional work experience in project management, training and development, or event planning
  • knowledge of direct services programming and victim services such as social services and sexual and domestic violence services
  • excellent written and oral communication skills including public speaking
  • exceptional interpersonal and collaborative skills
  • proven ability to work under pressure and meet deliverables
  • ability to adapt planning approach to meet organizational and partnership needs
  • superior multi-tasking, organizational skills, and detail-oriented mindset
  • ability to establish and meet deadlines and problem solve effectively
  • ability to work collaboratively in a team
  • ability to interact and collaborate with diverse personality types and maintain strong working relationships
  • proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and video communication platforms like Zoom and Microsoft Teams
  • commitment to advancing MOVA's mission
  • valid driver’s license with required travel throughout Massachusetts

Job Duties

  • Lead logistics management for annual victim rights events including the Massachusetts Office for Victim Assistance Training Academy and other statewide events
  • engage in training initiatives to deepen understanding of content, presenters, and attendee needs
  • propose quarterly awareness trainings inclusive of survivor voices and emerging community needs
  • execute an annual training calendar inclusive of all MOVA-led trainings and events
  • support development of talking points, agendas, and materials for the Victim and Witness Assistance Board members, Executive Director, and presenters
  • serve as communications liaison for vendors, presenters, trainers, and attendees
  • prepare and coordinate materials and opportunities for event participants
  • represent MOVA at community events and share educational materials
  • compile and track training requests and propose responses
  • prepare, compile, and analyze program evaluations to improve future trainings and events
  • develop and maintain relationships with external partners to build a community of trainers and speakers
  • support administrative tasks and stakeholder engagement activities as requested
