Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Some college or vocational training preferred
- Minimum six months experience in guest service, sales, or food and beverage service
- Ability to work any shift including weekends and holidays
- Knowledge of safety protocols and ability to report concerns
- Understanding of foodborne illness prevention and health regulations
- Ability to effectively interact with guests, management, and teammates under pressure
- Ability to handle and resolve escalated guest concerns
- Detail-oriented and adaptable
- Effective communication skills fluent in English
- Maintain professional appearance per company standards
- Good physical condition to perform safety procedures and manual tasks
- Capable of climbing, pushing, pulling, walking, standing, bending for extended periods
- Frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Assist guests in locating their seats and escort them as appropriate
- Provide assistance with guest baggage as needed
- Provide food and beverage service to guests throughout the train using strategic selling techniques
- Have complete knowledge of all food and beverage menu offerings
- Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages and snacks adhering to company standards
- Serve alcoholic beverages adhering to company established standards including verifying proper identification
- Assist in handling, diffusing, and solving escalated guest concerns professionally
- Pay close attention to guests with special needs, children, or heavy luggage and assist as needed
- Ensure assistance and information is provided during service disruptions
- Assist onboard team in using communication systems to confirm train readiness
- Maintain communication with onboard team and leadership
- Deliver public address announcements providing friendly journey information
- Work with ancillary team and leadership to coordinate onboard marketing efforts
- Monitor and review all company communication channels during work hours
- Ensure all onboard activities are carried out safely
- Report safety concerns to onboard supervisor immediately
- Follow company protocols to manage unscheduled or emergency situations
- Inspect service support areas for sanitation compliance
- Process credit card transactions via mobile point of sale device
- Receive and inspect all food and beverage carts to ensure inventory consistency
- Monitor inventory and advise onboard supervisor
- Assist in training newly hired train attendants
- Provide light cleaning and resetting of the train at station turnaround and terminals
