Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- some college or vocational training preferred
- minimum of six months' experience in guest service, sales, or food and beverage service
- must be able and willing to work any shift including weekends and holidays
- knowledge of safety protocols
- understanding of foodborne illness prevention
- ability to interact effectively with guests and team members
- skilled in resolving escalated guest concerns
- detail-oriented and adaptable
- effective communication skills with fluent English
- maintain a professional appearance
- good physical condition
- capable of performing all safety-related procedures and manual tasks
- able to frequently lift and move objects up to 50 pounds
- able to climb, push, pull, walk, stand, and bend repeatedly for extended periods
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Assist guests in locating their seats and escort them as appropriate
- provide assistance with guest baggage as needed
- provide food and beverage service to guests throughout the train using strategic selling techniques
- have complete knowledge of all food and beverage menu offerings
- prepare and serve hot and cold beverages and snacks adhering to company standards
- serve alcoholic beverages adhering to company established standards including verifying proper identification
- assist in handling, diffusing, and solving escalated guest concerns in an open, friendly, professional, and confident manner
- pay close attention to guests with special needs, guests with children, or guests with heavy luggage and assist as needed
- ensure that all possible assistance and information is provided to guests during periods of service disruption
- assist the onboard team in using designated communication systems to confirm the train is ready for departure and arrival
- maintain communication with the onboard team and leadership throughout the shift
- deliver public address announcements providing friendly journey information and a positive message
- work with ancillary team and leadership to coordinate and maintain marketing efforts within onboard events
- monitor and review all Brightline communication channels during work hours to ensure all communications and notifications are promptly reviewed
- ensure that all onboard activities are carried out safely and to Brightline's standards of quality
- report safety concerns immediately
- follow company protocols to manage any unscheduled or emergency situations as trained
- inspect service support areas to ensure adherence to company sanitation requirements
- process credit card transactions via mobile Point of Sale devices
- receive and inspect food and beverage carts to ensure consistency with opening inventory
- monitor onboard offerings and inventory levels and advise supervisor on needed items
- assist in training newly hired train attendants on service and safety standards
- provide light cleaning and resetting of the train at station turnaround and terminals
