Job Requirements
- must be at least 21 years of age upon completion of classroom training
- must successfully complete customer service aptitude testing
- must pass drug screening and pre-employment medical exam
- able to lift heavy items
- able to stand for long periods
- able to work variety of hours and up to eight days away from home crew base
- must wear company-provided uniform and comply with grooming policies
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED
- food and beverage handling experience
- cash handling and customer contact experience
- experience in housekeeping
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- friendly, outgoing, and courteous disposition
- ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
- some college or transportation-related training preferred
Job Duties
- ensure a safe, comfortable, and pleasant journey for coach and sleeping car passengers
- maintain cleanliness of assigned train cars including restrooms
- provide first-class amenities to sleeping car passengers including making beds and changing linens
- assist elderly and disabled passengers during boarding and detraining
- handle passenger baggage assistance
- load and unload supplies and maintain inventory
- perform dining car service and side work as directed by the Lead Service Attendant
