Job Requirements

  • Able to work at heights from 6 to 55 feet
  • perform light to medium physical work involving lifting between 20 and 50 pounds
  • exposure to electrical shocks and heights
  • must have valid Commercial Driver's License permit at time of hire
  • obtain Class B CDL with air brake endorsement within six months
  • demonstrate strong commitment to safety protocols
  • communicate effectively with central dispatch and supervisors
  • troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical components effectively

Job Qualifications

  • One year in electrical maintenance work or closely related experience
  • valid Commercial Driver's License permit required at time of hire
  • obtain Class B CDL with air brake endorsement within six months of hire
  • associate's degree in relevant field preferred
  • bachelor's degree in relevant field preferred
  • possession of IMSA Level II and/or III certificate preferred
  • at least two years of experience in traffic signals maintenance preferred

Job Duties

  • Perform preventive maintenance on traffic signals
  • clean and oil controller mechanisms
  • check relays
  • replace signal bulbs and lenses
  • install and maintain overhead traffic signs
  • operate necessary equipment for installation of traffic control devices
  • assemble and install traffic detectors, signal heads, controllers, amplifiers, relays, and associated wiring
  • test and adjust components
  • respond and drive to trouble calls
  • gather tools and materials for daily jobs
  • communicate with central dispatch or supervisor
  • troubleshoot and repair malfunctions at job site
  • report and input completed tasks
  • perform related work as assigned
