Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED
- minimum of three to five years of experience in traffic maintenance or related field
- valid Tennessee Class B CDL or ability to obtain within 90 days
- ability to perform physical labor including lifting up to 100 lbs
- ability to work in various weather conditions
- ability to climb ladders and work at heights
- proficiency in reading and following safety rules and maintenance instructions
- availability to be on-call as needed
- clear driving record
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED
- minimum of three to five years of experience in traffic maintenance or related field
- valid Tennessee Class B CDL or ability to obtain one within 90 days
- ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos
- ability to write simple correspondence and routine reports
- effective communication skills in one-on-one and small group settings
- knowledge of first aid practices
- basic electrical knowledge
- ability to apply commonsense understanding to instructions
- ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- ability to keep accurate records and make timely reports
Job Duties
- Order traffic light parts
- maintain operation of traffic systems for the City of Lebanon
- work with contractors and engineers in design and construction
- repair, maintain, and install all Christmas lights in the City of Lebanon
- repair and maintain lights at the City of Lebanon Airport underpass
- repair and maintain streetlights at 231 South and 1-40 intersections
- repair and maintain lights at Don Fox Park and Jimmy Floyd Center
- hang street signs, flags, and banners at intersections for special events
- work with all City departments where a bucket truck is needed
