Job Requirements
- Experience as a radio producer and/or assistant
- Excellent writing and storytelling skills
- Ability to generate original ideas
- Knowledge of news and weather
- Flexibility to work varied hours including mornings, evenings and weekends
- Knowledge of recording equipment and radio studios
- Ability to build rapport and gather information
- Coaching and development skills
- Confidence and persistence
- Knowledge of radio production legal and regulatory requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social networking platforms
- Four-year college degree or equivalent experience
- Submission of writing sample

- Knowledge of how to use a variety of recording equipment and how to operate different radio studios
- Ability to build rapport and draw information from people

- Confidence and tenacity to pursue information
- Full knowledge of the law, rules and industry regulations around radio production
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and social networking platforms
- Four-year college degree, preferably in radio or media production or the equivalent work experience
- Writing sample is required
Job Duties
- Undertake key administrative responsibilities and assist in planning and producing live and/or pre-recorded radio shows
- Generate original ideas, identify suitable ideas from others, and carry out thorough research
- Research information, obtain materials and assist with contacting and scheduling guests
- Give direction to presenters, content providers, assistants and other crew members
- Manage budgets and ensure the efficient use of resources
- Obtain permissions or licenses for recording or broadcasting on location, and for the use of music, sound effects and audio archive material
- Monitor listener emails, inquiries and responses related to shows
