Job Requirements
- Maintain a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for final consideration
- Possess a personal vehicle for use on or around a job site
- Read, write, and understand plans and directions given in the English language
- Basic computer skills with the ability to create and edit Microsoft Word and Excel documents, create Outlook emails and utilize SharePoint and Microsoft Teams to communicate with other team members
Job Qualifications
- Associate's degree from an accredited college or university preferred
- 1 year satisfactory experience monitoring CCTV cameras, or data entry, or in traffic management preferred
- Must be available to work overtime for special events, weather events and off-hours emergency
- Knowledge of computers in a Windows based environment including Microsoft Office
- Basic understanding of IP based computer networking
- Proficient with computer systems and surveillance technology
- Ability to work independently and make quick decisions
- Must have reliable transportation
Job Duties
- Monitoring the County's incident management cameras and traffic signal control system to identify any potential problems or issues along County roadways
- Notification of emergency services, public works, posting messages to social media and roadside electronic message signs
- Coordination of information between office, administrative and field personnel and with other County, State and local agencies to mitigate traffic congestion issues and other roadway emergencies
- Coordination of planned and un-planned roadway and traffic events
- Dispatch maintenance or supervisory staff as needed to address signal, camera or communications deficiencies
- On the job and paid training will be provided
