Job Description
The North Tarrant Express (NTE), NTE 35W, and LBJ projects represent major transportation infrastructure developments in Texas that are designed to improve traffic flow and reduce congestion in some of the region's most heavily traveled corridors. These projects are managed through public-private partnerships led by the Cintra consortium and are considered some of the largest and most technologically advanced managed lane systems in the United States.

Job Requirements
- Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred or three years professional experience in transportation or related fields
- Ability to communicate well with motorists and maintain a helpful attitude
- Ability to read maps and charts
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including nights and weekends
- Ability to multitask and problem solve under pressure
- Ability to follow detailed procedures and directions
- Ability to maintain professional relationships with staff and public
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills
- Ability to be on-call 24 hours
- Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds
- Ability to adjust vision focus for computer use
- Willingness to travel to NTE Traffic Management Center as needed
- Ability to work additional hours and flexible scheduling as essential personnel
Job Qualifications
- Associate's or bachelor's degree strongly preferred or equivalent professional experience
- Familiarity with Dallas LBJ I-635, Mid-Cities Region I-183, Fort Worth 35W and I-820 geography is a plus
- Excellent communication skills with motorists and coworkers
- Ability to read maps and charts
- Punctual and reliable with scheduling
- Flexibility to work various shifts including nights and weekends
- Strong multitasking and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to follow detailed procedures and take direction
- Team-oriented with a professional attitude
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and basic computer skills
- Typing proficiency
Job Duties
- Utilizes DYNAC Advanced Traffic Management System software for real-time traffic monitoring and incident management
- Uses CCTV cameras and traffic networks to detect and coordinate response to traffic events
- Monitors toll rate signs and manually adjusts rates based on traffic conditions
- Communicates via telephone and radio with responders, field personnel, public agencies, and the general public
- Sends traffic advisories detailing accident severity and event information
- Activates and updates dynamic message signs to notify motorists about traffic events and alerts
- Detects and reports field device failures to ITS maintenance staff
