Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Four years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Ability to work in shifts including nights and weekends
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Proficiency in using traffic management systems and software
- Must be able to handle emergency response coordination
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with four years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Experience in traffic management or a related field is preferred
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Proficiency with traffic management software and devices
Job Duties
- Monitor and control traffic management devices such as CCTV and dynamic message signs across Davidson County highways
- Support first responders, emergency management, and law enforcement communications
- Detect and report traffic incidents, dispatch service patrols, assist first responders, and notify the public
- Handle calls from various persons, organizations, and agencies related to traffic management
- Create and submit work orders for equipment failures or malfunctions
- Use software applications to control ITS field devices, monitor traffic flow, and perform data analysis
- Ensure the accuracy of data submissions in logs, reports, and documentation
- Provide guidance to responders and motorists during severe traffic events
- Post alerts, notifications, and messages as needed
- Assist in coordinating responses to disasters and high-profile events affecting roadways
- Perform other related duties as directed
