Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or related field
- at least 4 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- ability to obtain Professional Engineer license within 6 months if not already licensed
- proficiency with traffic analysis and simulation software
- excellent communication and time management skills
- capability to work collaboratively and independently
- must comply with relevant Agency and DOT standards
- no sponsorship available now or in the future
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
- minimum 4 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience
- preferred 5 years of experience emphasizing traffic control design, traffic studies, ITS engineering, and compliance with Agency and DOT standards
- registered Professional Engineer or ability to obtain PE license within 6 months
- proficiency in traffic and traffic simulation software and design platforms
- strong written and verbal communication skills
- ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
- good interpersonal skills and command of the English language
- effective time management abilities
- positive work attitude
Job Duties
- Support traffic analysis, forecasting, safety studies, traffic simulation, and conceptual planning and design
- prepare plan sheets, specifications, estimates, technical memoranda, reports, presentations, and project documentation
- lead ITS or emerging technology projects following systems engineering processes
- serve in various roles on traffic and ITS projects
- participate in producing technical deliverables such as plans, specifications, estimates, reports, and memorandums
- mentor Early in Career staff and review their technical work
- deliver tasks on schedule and budget following AECOM quality standards
- coordinate with other disciplines, clients, and sub-consultants
- perform primary design elements independently
- collaborate with Business Development leaders to capture project opportunities
