Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or related field
  • at least 4 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • ability to obtain Professional Engineer license within 6 months if not already licensed
  • proficiency with traffic analysis and simulation software
  • excellent communication and time management skills
  • capability to work collaboratively and independently
  • must comply with relevant Agency and DOT standards
  • no sponsorship available now or in the future

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
  • minimum 4 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience
  • preferred 5 years of experience emphasizing traffic control design, traffic studies, ITS engineering, and compliance with Agency and DOT standards
  • registered Professional Engineer or ability to obtain PE license within 6 months
  • proficiency in traffic and traffic simulation software and design platforms
  • strong written and verbal communication skills
  • ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
  • good interpersonal skills and command of the English language
  • effective time management abilities
  • positive work attitude

Job Duties

  • Support traffic analysis, forecasting, safety studies, traffic simulation, and conceptual planning and design
  • prepare plan sheets, specifications, estimates, technical memoranda, reports, presentations, and project documentation
  • lead ITS or emerging technology projects following systems engineering processes
  • serve in various roles on traffic and ITS projects
  • participate in producing technical deliverables such as plans, specifications, estimates, reports, and memorandums
  • mentor Early in Career staff and review their technical work
  • deliver tasks on schedule and budget following AECOM quality standards
  • coordinate with other disciplines, clients, and sub-consultants
  • perform primary design elements independently
  • collaborate with Business Development leaders to capture project opportunities
