Job Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Safe driving record
- High school diploma or GED
- ATSSA traffic control certification
- Experience in traffic control and flagging
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to cargo securing
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Excellent attendance
- Dependable transportation
- Ability to pass background and drug screen
- Willingness to travel and stay overnight as needed
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to perform physical requirements including walking, standing, bending, and stooping
Job Qualifications
- Must have a valid driver’s license and safe driving record
- High school diploma or GED
- Certification from ATSSA as a Worksite Traffic Technician or Supervisor
- Experience leading traffic control setups and flagging
- Knowledge of Nevada DOT traffic control regulations
- Ability to safely manage traffic through active work zones
- Knowledge of safety procedures for securing and transporting cargo
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds for extended periods
- Excellent attendance and dependable transportation
- Ability to pass background and drug screenings and meet Federal DOT requirements
- Willingness to travel statewide including occasional overnight stays
- Awareness of occupational hazards related to roadway work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with general maintenance and repair of work-related equipment and vehicles
Job Duties
- Lead a team of Traffic Control Technicians and Flaggers to set up and maintain temporary work zones
- Position temporary work zones using warning signs, traffic cones, barrels, etc. per Nevada DOT standards
- Load and unload work zone equipment to and from company vehicles and job sites
- Drive company vehicles safely to and from job sites
- Manage traffic safely through active work zones while communicating via radio and using stop/slow paddles
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions and be available to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required
- Follow all safety rules and wear proper safety equipment
- Communicate effectively with contractors, co-workers, and supervisors
- Complete daily paperwork accurately
- Perform all other duties as assigned
