Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
  • willingness to travel domestically 75 percent of the time, including multiple days and weekends
  • ability to work with limited supervision on projects
  • ability to execute projects with management direction and foster relationships
  • ability and willingness to perform and supervise manual labor such as booth installation, dismantling, and shipping
  • ability to bend, twist, and lift up to 55 pounds using safe lifting techniques
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office, Jira, SharePoint, and Oracle
  • strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail
  • team-oriented with a positive attitude
  • demonstrated problem-solving skills
  • ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced, flexible environment
  • willingness to transport tradeshow assets using personal and Garmin-provided vehicles
  • willingness to respond to critical issues outside normal working hours, including weekends and holidays
  • understanding of power and manual tools

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

  • proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Jira, SharePoint, and Oracle

Job Duties

  • Plan and coordinate multiple tradeshow projects with budget responsibility up to and exceeding $25,000
  • attend and participate in multi-disciplinary tradeshow planning meetings
  • complete end-of-show debrief reports
  • assist with management of warehouse and booth assets
  • serve as show site assistant and communicate key information to leadership
  • administer booking, installation, service contracts, dismantle, shipping and storage for trade events
  • prep booth assets at storage facilities and warehouse
  • supervise non-Garmin skilled laborers during installation and dismantle
  • negotiate with suppliers to ensure best price and outcomes
  • gather and organize internal client input on tradeshow needs
  • create and execute shipping, labor and packing orders
  • research external resources for tradeshow materials
  • capture and enter show cost information for budgeting and forecasting
  • evaluate tradeshow and exposition industry trends
  • build strong rapport with suppliers and business partners
  • remain current on tradeshow policies and procedures
  • participate in side projects supporting company needs
