Job Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age
- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and some holidays
- Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments with exposure to temperature variations
- Must be able to drive automotive vehicle
- Capability to lift and carry cases of wine occasionally
- Extended hours and shift rotations required
- Excellent active listening, verbal, and written communication skills
- Demonstrates commitment to company values and safety standards
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum three years of wine or hospitality-related experience in a customer-facing role
- Experience with or knowledge of wine trade
- Wine industry experience and wine education certification preferred
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- TIPS certification or certification within 90 days of employment
- CA food handler’s certification
- Strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills
- Ability to communicate wine knowledge to all experience levels
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Proactive planning, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
- Friendly, professional demeanor and appearance
Job Duties
- Calendars, facilitates, and executes wine tastings, tours, experiences, and wine education-related activities for various stakeholders
- Processes, coordinates, and calendars hospitality request forms
- Maintains trade calendars and responds to personalized guest requests
- Assists in planning and executing trade events and experiences
- Manages overnight accommodation and reservations for suites or cottages
- Communicates with sales teams to understand trade visit priorities
- Collaborates with Brand, Sales, and Winemaking teams to develop trade programs and guest experiences
- Executes sales and internal requests for guest visits
- Maintains inventory and replenishment of hospitality essentials
- Processes charges and ensures timely receipts and reporting
- Supports and hosts special visits, events, and internal meetings
- Creates and manages proposals, contracts, and event orders for meals, meetings, and events
- Plans and organizes private and company-sponsored hospitality events
- Acts as Event Captain during events, supervising event staff and ensuring event flow
- Facilitates communication related to trade, corporate, and private special events
- Builds rapport and establishes relationships between trade guests and winery team
- Other duties as assigned
