Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum three years of wine or hospitality related experience in a customer-facing role
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • TIPS certification or certification within 90 days of employment
  • CA food handler’s certification
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to communicate wine knowledge
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work extended hours and shift rotations
  • Physical ability to lift and carry cases of wine
  • Willingness to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate degree is a plus
  • Minimum three years of wine or hospitality related experience in a customer-facing role
  • Experience working with or knowledge of wine trade
  • Wine industry experience and wine education certification is preferred
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • TIPS certification or certification within 90 days of employment
  • CA food handler’s certification
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Knowledge of food and beverage operations at a high level of service
  • Ability to communicate wine knowledge effectively
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Professional demeanor and appearance

Job Duties

  • Calendar, facilitate, and execute wine tastings, tours, experiences, and wine education-related activities for trade guests and internal stakeholders
  • Process, coordinate, and calendar hospitality request forms
  • maintain trade calendars
  • respond to personalized guest requests
  • assist in trade events and experiences
  • Manage overnight accommodation and reservations for suites or cottages
  • Communicate proactively with sales teams to understand priorities for trade visits, key brands, and guest needs
  • Collaborate with brand, sales, and winemaking teams to develop experiences and programs showcasing wines and educating trade guests
  • Execute guest visits and requests according to hospitality request forms
  • Maintain inventory and replenish hospitality essentials in guest cottages or suites
  • Process charges related to visits and ensure timely receipt and reporting
  • Support, coordinate, and host special visits, onsite and offsite pourings, events, experiences, and internal meetings
  • Develop trade programs and operational improvements in partnership with leadership
  • Serve as primary point of contact for all trade guests and build rapport with winery team
  • Create and maintain proposals, contracts, and event orders for all events including timelines, schematics, vendor contracts, and guest requests
  • Plan, organize, and execute private and company-sponsored hospitality events
  • Act as Event Captain during events and supervise event staff
  • Handle phone inquiries, emails, and correspondence related to trade and special events
