Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in international trade, business, or a related field
- In-depth knowledge of international trade laws and regulations, including ITAR and EAR
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in trade compliance, preferably within the aerospace industry
- Experience in managing license applications and maintaining license records
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex regulations and apply them to practical situations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Proficient in using trade compliance software and tools
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Certified Export Compliance Professional (CECP) or other trade compliance certifications are a plus
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills

Job Duties
- Implement and maintain a trade compliance program to ensure compliance with all international trade laws and regulations, including but not limited to ITAR, EAR, and customs regulation
- Monitor, audit and manage compliance activities and the effectiveness of internal controls on an ongoing basis to ensure compliance with trade regulations and company policies
- Review, classify, and document the correct classifications for all relevant products
- Prepare, review, approve, and submit applications for licenses, permits, and other requests for authorization with the appropriate government agencies
- Review proposals to identify trade compliance needs or issues
- Conduct internal audits and assessments to identify and mitigate potential trade compliance risks and issues
- Provide guidance and support to internal departments, such as procurement, on trade compliance matters
- Stay current with changes in international trade laws and regulations and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders within the company
- Work with external parties, such as freight forwarders and customs brokers, to ensure compliant movement of goods
- Collaborate with legal counsel on trade compliance matters, including potential violations or investigations
- Ongoing development and management of standardized audit and testing processes needed to identify potential trade compliance issues associated with operational procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned
