Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, international business or related field
  • minimum 7-10 years experience in trade compliance or customs operations
  • at least 3 years leadership experience
  • strong understanding of U.S. and global trade regulations
  • proficiency with ERP and trade compliance systems
  • experience working with customs brokers and government agencies
  • excellent leadership and communication skills
  • licensed U.S. customs broker or equivalent certification preferred.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, international business, or related field
  • minimum 7-10 years progressive experience in trade compliance or customs operations
  • at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • strong knowledge of U.S. and global trade regulations including CBP, EAR, ITAR, OFAC, BIS
  • proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP S/4HANA
  • experience with trade compliance tools like Amber Road and SAP GTS
  • skilled in working with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government agencies
  • excellent analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills
  • licensed U.S. customs broker preferred or equivalent trade certification such as CUSECO or CCS.

Job Duties

  • Lead and mentor a team of trade compliance specialists
  • build partnerships across procurement, logistics, supply chain, finance, and engineering
  • oversee import and export compliance with U.S. and international trade regulations
  • manage relationships with licensed U.S. customs brokers
  • ensure accuracy of trade documentation including commercial invoices and licensing
  • provide expert guidance on tariff classifications and trade agreements
  • develop and maintain trade compliance policies and procedures
  • advise business leaders on trade compliance risks and regulatory changes
  • monitor evolving trade regulations and communicate impact
  • support audits and corrective actions
  • implement risk mitigation strategies including denied party screening
  • identify opportunities for process automation and digitalization
  • lead corporate trade compliance initiatives and training
  • support ERP system implementation for trade data management
  • drive a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.
