Job Requirements
- Ability to work Monday through Sunday from 5 am to 2 pm, extended to 5 pm on race meets and horse sales
- Kentucky Race Horse Commission license required, provided by Keeneland upon hire
- Transportation needed
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous food service experience preferred
Job Qualifications
- Must be able to work at a rapid pace while maintaining attention to detail
- Ability to provide a high level of customer service to both patrons and other employees
- One-year experience in serving cafeteria-style
- Knowledge of point-of-sale systems
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, stressful environment
- Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
Job Duties
- Serves the line of customers as they pass through
- Replaces empty bins of hot foods
- Sends orders to the kitchen for preparation
- Wipes tables and seats with cleaning cloths
- Carries dirty dishes to kitchen
- Sets tables with appropriate condiments
- Provides customer service
- Reconciles sales receipts accurately
- Operates point-of-sale system
- Stands for long periods
- Lifts items up to 50 pounds
- Communicates effectively
- Maintains a clean and organized work environment
- Works efficiently in a fast-paced, stressful setting
