Job Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid class C Texas driver’s license within 30 days of employment
- Ability to work 40 hours per week including flexible schedules
- Ability to perform manual labor including lifting supplies and materials up to 50 pounds
- Required to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to travel up to 5 percent with possible overnight stays
- Must comply with TPWD safety program and non-smoking environment policies
Job Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree
- Experience in customer service
- Experience in park operations
- Experience in interpretation or conducting educational programs
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Knowledge of natural and cultural resources management
- Skill in using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Skill in effective verbal and written communication
- Skill in planning and implementing public presentations and guided tours
- Ability to work as a member of a team
- Ability to issue permits
- Ability to perform manual labor including lifting up to 50 pounds
Job Duties
- Researches and develops interpretive programs and exhibits
- Provides outreach programs and guided tours
- Organizes, plans, and directs volunteer activities and special events
- Recruits, trains, and oversees volunteers
- Manages social media and serves as liaison for park support group
- Provides administrative support including promotion, marketing, and purchasing
- Assists with natural and cultural resource management including participation in prescribed fires
