Job Requirements

  • At least 1 to 2 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to comply with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and policies
  • Ability to supervise and motivate staff
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Proficiency with housekeeping and maintenance operations
  • Ability to use pager or radio for communication

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1 to 2 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • College coursework in related field helpful
  • Previous supervisory responsibility preferred

Job Duties

  • Approach all encounters with guests and associates in a friendly, service oriented manner
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing proper uniform and name tag
  • Comply at all times with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations
  • Inspect staff's work performance within assigned section daily to assure standards and productivity
  • Inspect all VIP rooms and report availability in the absence of Housekeeping Manager
  • Oversee closing of floors at end of day ensuring Room Attendants’ carts are clean and restocked
  • Ensure records of daily assignments are completed and turned into Housekeeping Office on time
  • Maintain key control system
  • Assist with supervision of Laundry and Housekeeping staff, holding them accountable
  • Handle Lost and Found items according to standards
  • Be familiar with all Aimbridge Hospitality policies and house rules
  • Ensure associates are attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous at all times
  • Ensure overall appearance, cleanliness and orderliness of staff
  • Carry active pager or radio to maintain contact with Front Office and Engineering
  • Oversee daily assignment of duties ensuring each Room Attendant and House Attendant carries work assignment
  • Monitor cleanliness and orderliness of Room Attendants’ carts, linen closets, control closets, stairways and landings
  • Report progress of out-of-order rooms to Guest Services Manager daily
  • Initiate and follow-up on work orders for repairs and maintenance
  • Assist with training of Room Attendants
  • Motivate, coach, and counsel staff as necessary
  • Collect all keys and assignment sheets daily at end of shift
  • Attend meetings as required by Management
  • Ensure completion of biannual maintenance and cleaning projects
  • Monitor VIPs, special guests and requests
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management
