Job Requirements

  • At least 1 to 2 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field required
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to work varied schedules as required by the hotel
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain high standards of appearance and grooming
  • Familiarity with Aimbridge Hospitality policies and house rules
  • Capability to supervise and motivate staff
  • Ability to carry and use a pager or radio to maintain communication
  • Willingness to assist with training and coaching staff
  • Commitment to providing friendly and attentive guest service

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1 to 2 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • College coursework in a related field helpful
  • Previous supervisory responsibility preferred

Job Duties

  • Help administer and coordinate housekeeping functions in assigned sections
  • Inspect guest rooms to ensure cleanliness and standards
  • Assist Room Attendants as needed and provide training
  • Assume all Housekeeping Supervisor functions in their absence
  • Approach all encounters with guests and associates in a friendly, service oriented manner
  • Maintain regular attendance as required by hotel scheduling
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
  • Comply with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations
  • Inspect staff performance daily to assure standards and productivity levels are met
  • Oversee closing of floors ensuring carts are clean and restocked
  • Ensure records of daily assignments are completed and submitted on time
  • Maintain key control system
  • Assist with supervision of Laundry and Housekeeping staff
  • Handle Lost and Found items according to standards
  • Ensure associates are attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous at all times
  • Oversee daily assignment of duties for Room Attendants and House Attendants
  • Monitor cleanliness of carts, linen closets, and common areas
  • Report on progress of out-of-order rooms to Guest Services Manager
  • Initiate and follow through on work orders for maintenance and repairs
  • Motivate, coach, and counsel staff
  • Collect all keys and assignment sheets at shift end
  • Attend management meetings
  • Ensure completion of maintenance and cleaning projects biannually
  • Monitor VIP guests and special requests
  • Perform other duties as requested by management
