Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of 2 years experience in professional culinary setting
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs occasionally and 20 lbs frequently
  • comfortable working in hot and cold environments
  • flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours
  • follow company standards regarding uniform, grooming, and behavior
  • attend all required meetings and trainings
  • comply with proper time clock and attendance standards
  • follow all safety, sanitation, and health regulations including DOH requirements
  • pass monthly menu knowledge quiz with at least 70%
  • maintain clean and sanitary kitchen environments
  • communicate effectively with team and management
  • practice guest-first mentality at all times

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • minimum of 2 years experience in a professional culinary setting, preferably in hotel or banquet environment
  • serv safe certification or valid New York food handler's license beneficial but not required
  • ability to stand for full duration of shifts
  • able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and 20 lbs frequently
  • comfortable working in hot and cold environments
  • flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and long hours as scheduled

Job Duties

  • prepare all food items across various kitchen stations and banquet events
  • uphold highest standards of food quality, presentation, cleanliness, and safety
  • assist with inventory, ordering, and kitchen organization
  • execute station prep, mise en place, and food production
  • maintain cleanliness and sanitation according to NYC health standards
  • communicate low stock levels and inspect food requisitions
  • support team by assisting other culinary staff and prioritize banquet tasks
