Job Requirements
- Minimum of five years experience in a commercial kitchen
- Hold a Travis County Food handling certificate
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations
- Proficient in English communication with colleagues and management
- Ability to produce legible written communication
- Demonstrate versatility and discipline
- Strong organizational skills and work ethic
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude
- Availability to work flexible schedules including weekends, holidays, and evenings
- Capacity to work 12-hour shifts

- Ability to assist restaurant managers in managing Food and Beverage team members
- Ability to maintain calm during busy periods and treat guests and colleagues with respect
- Ability to perform duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and minimal supervision
Job Duties
- Attend the daily line-up and check daily menus and discuss changes with sous chefs
- Keep the kitchens clean and sanitary according to Commodore Perry Estate standards
- Sort waste appropriately by recyclable, compostable, or nonrenewable
- Utilize trim to produce other kitchen items rather than scraps
- Taste mise en place frequently to ensure quality
- Use kitchen equipment with care and clean properly after use
- Communicate clearly in the kitchen, announcing movements and handling hot or dangerous items
- Fill out production lists by reviewing upcoming daily events
- Follow recipe guides to maintain consistency
- Maintain positive work attitude and behavior, be a team player, and accept criticism well
