Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred AA/AS or BS/BA degree
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Tour Assistant or equivalent travel agency experience
  • Experience using a GDS, preferably Galileo
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication skills
  • Highly organized
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Ability to follow through on tasks

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • AA/AS or BS/BA degree preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Tour Assistant or equivalent travel agency experience (2-3 years preferred)
  • At least 1 year of experience using a GDS, preferably Galileo
  • Proven ability to adapt to changing priorities and perform effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (intermediate level)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Highly organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Receptive to direction and able to follow through on tasks to completion

Job Duties

  • Deliver exceptional customer service while coordinating administrative tasks related to client travel within the Touring department
  • Manage delegated tasks efficiently, ensuring clear understanding and timely, accurate communication across all correspondence
  • Process enquiries, bookings, and ticketing with precision, ensuring all air, rail, hotel, and ancillary reservations meet company and client expectations
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of fares, contracted rates, ticketing, and reissues
  • Support the tracking of client and supplier favors, and assist in investigating and resolving errors or client concerns
  • Create and maintain accurate movement and flight sheets, ensuring all Touring procedures are consistently followed
  • Assist in training and onboarding new assistant-level staff
  • Maintain strong client and supplier relationships, ensuring personalized, high-quality service delivery and account retention
  • Negotiate favorable supplier rates to maximize savings, improve profitability, and deliver measurable value to clients
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support team and departmental goals
