The Wellness Coordinator position is a full-time role within a well-established senior living community, reporting directly to the Apartment Director. This community is committed to enhancing the quality of life for its residents by providing comprehensive health and wellness programs tailored to support their physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in health or wellness program coordination
  • valid driver’s license with CDL and passenger endorsement
  • ability to lift and move items weighing 35 to 50 pounds
  • ability to stand, sit, bend, stoop, stretch, kneel, and walk for extended periods
  • ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • compliance with infection control and safety procedures
  • willingness to work evenings and weekends as scheduled
  • proficiency with computer systems and office equipment
  • ability to maintain confidentiality of resident information

Job Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a similar working environment
  • experience in social or recreational programs or related area
  • occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant preferred
  • current certified nurses assistant license preferred
  • current driver’s license with CDL and passenger endorsement
  • ability to use computers and facility software proficiently
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to organize and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • strong problem-solving and judgment skills

Job Duties

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive health and wellness programs addressing mind, body, and spirit
  • schedule and facilitate training sessions, group meetings, and exercise classes
  • analyze resident retention needs and recommend improvements
  • assist in developing and implementing marketing plans
  • encourage and motivate resident participation
  • implement new wellness-focused marketing events
  • maintain fitness and computer equipment
  • track attendance and performance in wellness activities
  • provide guidance and assistance to residents and families on health and wellness
  • create communication materials for residents
  • assist Activities Director with day-to-day operations
  • organize and schedule community events
  • purchase and maintain supplies and materials
  • ensure resident safety during activities
  • contact residents with reminders and assistance
  • attend staff and committee meetings
  • comply with policies and regulations
  • operate computers and office equipment
  • perform other duties as directed by Apartment Director
