Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- five years of relevant tool room or maintenance experience
- knowledge of general hand tools
- familiarity with ground support equipment is a plus
- able to obtain and maintain Tier 3 US Government security clearance
- US citizenship required
- proficiency in English
- physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds
- ability to work in a shop environment with exposure to fumes and moving machinery
- strong attention to detail
- excellent communication skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- five years actual and recent systems experience desired
- knowledge of general hand tools
- knowledge of ground support equipment desired
- able to obtain and maintain government security clearance
- able to read write speak and understand English
Job Duties
- Receives stores and issues hand tools machine tools dies replacement parts shop supplies and equipment
- keeps records of tools issued to and returned by workers
- searches for lost or misplaced tools
- prepares periodic inventory or keeps perpetual inventory and requisitions stock as needed
- unpacks and stores new equipment
- visually inspects tools or measures with micrometer for wear or defects and reports damaged or worn-out equipment to superiors
- coats tools with grease or other preservative and attaches identification tags or engraves identifying information on tools and equipment
