Job Requirements
- Active DoD Secret Clearance
- Experience in tool room, parts, or maintenance support in military or industrial environment
- Ability to lift and organize equipment
- Knowledge of Navy Tool Control procedures preferred
- Familiarity with maintenance documentation
- Undergraduate or graduate student status
Job Qualifications
- Active DoD Secret Clearance (must be current and verifiable)
- Experience in tool room, parts, or maintenance support within a military or industrial environment
- Working knowledge of tool accountability, inventory management, and Navy Tool Control procedures preferred
- Ability to lift, organize, and maintain equipment in compliance with safety standards
- Familiarity with maintenance documentation and Navy aviation maintenance environments is a plus
- Currently pursuing undergraduate or graduate studies
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Job Duties
- Receive, store, and issue hand tools, machine tools, dies, shop supplies, replacement parts, and related maintenance equipment
- Maintain accurate records of tools issued to and returned by maintenance personnel
- Conduct routine inventories, search for misplaced tools, and requisition replacements as needed
- Inspect, clean, and preserve tools and equipment
- report damage or defects to supervisors
- Tag, mark, or engrave identifying information on tools and equipment
- Support aircraft maintenance shops by managing tool control, hazardous materials, and tool room configurations
- Ensure compliance with Navy Tool Control Program and related maintenance documentation requirements
- Contribute to the success of maintenance operations, including corrosion control, inspections, and technical directive compliance
