Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- one to two years of experience in tool rooms, warehouses, or related trades
- basic math skills
- ability to speak, write, and read English
- computer literacy for data entry
- ability to work in physically demanding environments
- willingness to follow safety protocols and instructions
- able to work all shifts
- capable of moving through cluttered workspaces
- able to work at heights and in confined spaces
Job Qualifications
- One to two years of work experience in tool rooms or warehouses
- knowledge of calibrated instruments, tools, and supplies used in ship repair
- basic computer data entry skills
- ability to maintain records accurately
- effective communication skills in English
- ability to plan, organize, and sort tools
- capable of working at heights and in confined spaces
- ability to understand written and verbal instructions
- physical capability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds unassisted
- able to work any shift
Job Duties
- Track personal and company tools
- check tools in and out
- stock shelves with tools, parts, and supplies
- maintain inventory and logs
- issue safety items
- perform simple repair of leads and tools
- maintain daily tool room inventories on a computer
