Job Description

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is currently seeking a Tool Crib Attendant 3 or 4 to join the team at Edwards Air Force Base, California. This role involves receiving, storing, and issuing tools, support equipment, consumables, hazardous materials, and other related items to support aeronautical operations. The Tool Crib Attendant maintains detailed records of tools issued to employees, conducts periodic inventories, requisitions stock as needed, and reports any damaged, worn out, or missing equipment. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Four years of additional education or experience for Tool Crib Attendant 3
  • Six years of additional education or experience for Tool Crib Attendant 4
  • Experience in tool crib, maintenance, manufacturing environment, or tool inventory control position
  • Valid state issued driver's license
  • Active DoD Secret clearance with background check within last six years or enrollment in Continuous Evaluation
  • Ability to obtain and maintain SAP clearance
  • Ability to perform moderate strenuous physical work including bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working overhead
  • Experience operating forklifts
  • Ability to handle hazardous materials in compliance with regulations
  • Willingness to work 4/10 or 3/10 shifts including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Four to six years of relevant experience in tool crib, maintenance, manufacturing, or tool inventory control
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel
  • Valid state issued driver's license
  • Active DoD Secret clearance or higher
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program clearance
  • Experience using forklifts
  • Familiarity with tool control software systems such as TCMax
  • Knowledge of PMEL, TMDE, and calibration processes
  • Prior aircraft flight line environment experience
  • Experience handling HAZMAT

Job Duties

  • Receive, store, and issue tools, support equipment, consumables, HAZMAT, and related items
  • Maintain records of tools issued to employees
  • Conduct periodic inventory and requisition stock as needed
  • Report damaged, worn out, or missing equipment
  • Perform cleaning, oiling, and minor repairs on equipment
  • Dispose of surplus or obsolete equipment according to procedures
  • Ensure periodic calibration of measuring devices
  • Use computers to enter transactions and maintain databases
  • Handle hazardous materials with proper PPE
  • Support multiple shifts including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts on a 4/10 or 3/10 rotation
  • Operate forklifts safely and efficiently
